A Website After My Own Heart
Monday, February 18, 2008If you're a designer, engineer or entrepreneur then you probably have got a look out for good and bad design or things that can be improved upon. Whether it be the latest in-stand magazine or the wrapping of the gum your chewing on; you're generally keeping tab. I know for a fact that on more than one occasion you've probably stopped and thought "What the Bleep were they thinking". Call me critical, but I find myself saying that several times a day.
Finally someone has come up with a way to deal with all the frustrating designs out there. Enter: redesignme.org
Where the common man can gripe about the disappointment of a product and hope that one of us can improve it.
About 60 problem products have been submitted so far, and more than 30 have been redesigned. The site's developers are now looking for design schools, investors and entrepreneurs to partner with.
Put your own skills to work on the existing makeover candidates—ranging from a ChapStick tube to ATM machines. It's a group brainstorm for good design.
This product has not been redesigned yet. Be the first!
